Hostess with the Mostest: Itinerary Inspiration

In our last post we helped guide you toward which humble abode your group will call home for the week. This week we're bringing you a crash course on itinerary creation! Follow our steps below to make sure your group is prepared!

Bachelorette Itinerary

Putting it on Paper:

Before we get started with the details, let's pick out a template that best reflects your party's mission. This is the easy part! Are you looking to make your weekend a Honky Tonk hoppin' good time? Or a good ole', laid back weekend with the girls? Take to Etsy to find whatever it is your heart (or really, the bride's heart) desires! If glitz and glam is your thing, they have it. If you're looking for that boot scootin,' Music City kind of vibe, you can bet you'll find it there.

Most shops have options that you can almost entirely customize. So fear not! If you're in love with a certain layout, but the colors just aren't right contact the shop owner! Etsy sellers tend to be passionate about putting out creative and personalized products, so give it a try. If you need help with where to start, click the photo above to dip your toe into the abyss that is Etsy.

Are We There Yet?

Confirm travel plans with your group before going ANY further with the itinerary. Make sure you know how many will be joining your party, how they will be traveling and when they will be arriving. If you want to make extra sure that you have all your ducks in a row, ask for travel schedules for those flying and make sure you get departure times and ETAs from those driving a considerable distance. Once you have a general idea of when and where everyone will congregate, move on to the next step.

Find a Place to Hang Your Hat

Once everyone's travel plans are concrete, you'll need to decide where you're staying. You can check out TripAdvisor for the hottest hotels in Nashville or go the more intimate route with an AirBnB. Hotels are great options and usually have shuttles to and from all of Music City's greatest attractions. However, hotels may require larger groups to split themselves among different rooms. With an AirBnB You can determine what place you choose based upon proximity to your plans AND how many guests you have. Many will allow extra guests for a small fee. More on our picks for AirBnB in Nashville here....

Have Plans, Will Travel

If you aren't staying at a hotel with transit options, travel within the city can take a lot of time and a big chunk of the budget. If the old fashioned taxi is your preferred way of travel most hotels will offer a call service for them or at least give you options for contact. If you went the AirBnB route, go for a web search for a service like Music City Taxi. These days, however, Uber and Lyft have taken over Nashville. It's uncommon to have to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a driver. If you haven't already downloaded those apps, make sure you do before your trip. Often having both and giving your party more options is helpful, especially on those busier weekends. Links for iPhone and Android are below!

Satiation and Shopping

Check out our planning guide for tips and inspiration while planning your festivities! If your group is looking to try the tastes of the town during your bachelorette weekend, we recommend downloading the OpenTable app! (Download for iPhone; Download for Android) It's an extremely handy app that allows you to create, cancel and manage reservations right on your phone! When you're ready to take to the streets for some shopping there are three boutiques that can't be missed!

Located in the Gulch, Blush is a fashion forward boutique that specializes in in-house styling and modern, city-chic clothing and accessories. The "Blush Babes" have new inventory arriving all the time, so you're sure to get a unique, hip and affordable experience at Blush! In addition to the can't-miss clothing, shoes and accessories, they offer Tennessee specific jewelry items and posters to commemorate your trip for a lifetime (and in a stylish way!) Visit their website for details or for some online shopping!

Last but certainly not least, we have Draper James. DJ is an upscale boutique opened by everyone's favorite modern day southern starlet, Reese Witherspoon. No words could truly do this adorable and sophisticated storefront justice. From the door to the hangers, everything is perfect for the true southern belle, or you gorgeous ladies that we adopt into the swing of things because we think you're just sweet as pie. Take a look at the Draper James flagship store here!
